Invisalign
WHAT IS INVISALIGn?
Invisalign is the worlds most advanced invisible braces system.
If your teeth are crowded, have unsightly spaces, or have deteriorated (relapsed) following previous brace treatment, Invisalign can address these problems in most cases.
Invisalign’s biggest benefit is that it is nearly invisible so almost no one can tell you are wearing braces.
The treatment uses a series of custom-made nearly invisible aligners to move the teeth in a gradual stepwise process. Aligners are changed every 2 weeks until the final position prescribed by Dr Parvis and is suitable for both teenagers and adults.
You can remove Invisalign aligners so unlike conventional braces, you can eat and drink what you like. Because of this you can clean your teeth as normal and this is better for your dental hygiene during treatment.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
FIRST APPOINTMENT
Together with Dr Parvis you will discuss the concerns you have with your teeth, and after examining your teeth we will see if you are suitable for Invisalign treatment.
You will then be given a quote and discuss payment options.
The cost will depend on the complexity of each individual case but will range from £1700 to £4000.
Interest-free credit is provided and payments consist of a deposit and then monthly payments to suit your circumstances over the course of the treatment.
If Invisalign is a suitable option for you and you wish to continue with treatment a second appointment is booked.
SECOND APPOINTMENT
Moulds of your teeth, photographs, and x-rays are taken and a detailed digital version of your teeth created by Invisalign (called a Clinicheck plan) based on Dr Parvis specific instructions.
The 3D digital animation will allow you to see a virtual representation of your teeth before you start treatment, their movement during treatment and the final result.
The 3D digital animation is sent to you by email a few days later for you to consider and discuss with Dr Parvis at your next appointment.
THIRD APPOINTMENT
We will discuss the plan together and make any further alterations if required.
Once both you and Dr Parvis are happy with the results of the Clinicheck treatment plan the customised clear aligners are manufactured by Invisalign in the USA.
FOURTH AND SUBSEQUENT VISITS
You will be fitted with your first set of aligners to start straightening your teeth. The aligners are worn for approximately 2 weeks each and the total number of aligners will vary for each person. The aligners must be worn as instructed by Dr Parvis almost all the time.
You would need to attend reviews with Dr Parvis at 4-12 week intervals.
You will notice gradual movements at each stage of the treatment.
Treatment length will vary depending on your case, but the average Invisalign treatment is nine to eighteen months.
Once you finish treatment as with any orthodontic treatment you will need to wear Clear retainers on a periodic basis to prevent relapse.
